Makeover Monday

disclaimer: All photos are unedited, iPhone pics. Nothing has been retouched. This is so you can see what it might look like in the lighting of your own home.

I just have to tell you, this makeover model is an amazing woman. Barb is in her 60s with 40 years of marriage and 3 kids in their 30s under her belt. She is an incredibly compassionate woman who wants to meet people where they're at and serve them in any way she can.

Her makeup concerns: applying eye makeup while not wearing her all-the-time glasses (not a contact wearer) and makeup techniques that worked when her kiddos were young no longer apply to her changing features.

My goals: to make her stunning hazel eyes pop and emphasize her slender face with an everyday look she can pull off on her own. People need to see her warm and open heart at first glance.

Meet my beautiful mom!

Makeup: tinted moisturizer BB creme | primer on eye lids, apples of cheeks, across nose, chin and between brows | light and mid-tone concealer under eyes and on dark spots | loose mineral foundation | cheek color only on apples of cheeks | filled in brows and lined eyes with a dark brown similar to her hair | deep purple across lower lid and light beige on the rest of her lid with a bit of shimmer under her brows | one coat of lengthening mascara on upper and lower lashes | lined lips and filled in then topped with a warm rose gloss

Isn't she GORGEOUS!

We had a little play date afterward with two pretty cute models. Barb sure does make a great Mimi. Just ask Eliza and Eleanor!
